Oregon Mushrooms Shipping Policy
Our goal is to get your mushrooms to you fresh and fast. Fresh mushrooms are highly perishable, so please read these guidelines carefully before placing your order.
Placing Your Order
Please ensure that you order 48-60 hours before you actually need your mushrooms. This gives us a buffer in case bad weather delays the shipping trucks or planes. Sometimes fresh mushroom seasons end suddenly without warning. If we run out or the quality isn't good enough to ship, we will email you and refund your money.
Shipping Timeline
Ordered Before 10:00 AM PST
Usually ships the same day, if in stock.
After 10:00 AM PST
Ships the next shipping day. If you need it shipped today, call 800-682-0036 or 541-850-6194 and we will try to accommodate you.
Standard Shipping Days
We ship out Monday through Thursday. We do not deliver fresh items on Sundays, Mondays or holidays.
Saturday Delivery
Not recommended - often does not arrive due to shipper issues.
Must be confirmed by phone/email by Friday at 9:00 AM PST. Costs $25 extra.
Shipping Schedule & Deadlines
Shipping Methods
We ship to all 50 states. Once a package ships, we cannot change the address, so please ensure your contact information is accurate.
For perishable goods, we only offer overnight shipping. If you place an order with a mix of perishable and non-perishable options, overnight shipping will be your only option. Split your order into two purchases if you would prefer to have your non-perishables shipped by ground.
- UPS Options (Recommended): We offer Next Day Air, Next Day Air Saver, 2nd Day, 3 Day Select, and Ground.
- UPS Hold Location (Highly Recommended): We can ship your box to a local UPS store for you to pick up during their open hours. This keeps your mushrooms safe inside and out of a hot delivery truck. Call or email us to set this up.
- USPS Priority: Typically delivers within 5 days.
- USPS Ground: Delivery takes 1 to 21 days, and USPS does not offer money-back guarantees for delays.
Receiving Fresh & Frozen Items
Fresh and frozen mushrooms must be put in the refrigerator the moment they arrive. It is normal for fresh mushrooms to lose a little water weight during shipping and feel slightly dry to the touch; they will regain this weight when washed.
Signature is not required for delivery unless requested. Please ensure you are available to receive delivery so that your package isn't left out to spoil. We can also deliver to your workplace. Please note that drivers may still refuse to leave packages in areas they feel have a high crime rate.
International Orders
At this time, we do not ship any goods outside of the United States.
Damage Claims and Refunds
Because our items are highly perishable, we must follow strict rules for refunds. We will not give refunds or replacements for shipping delays caused by weather, natural disasters, or standard courier delays.
If your package arrives damaged, you must follow these exact steps:
- Open your package while the UPS driver is still there so they can document the damage. This is the only way we can file a claim.
- Call or email us within 1 hour of receiving your package.
- If you do not contact us within that 1-hour window, we cannot offer any refunds or replacements.
If there are issues or problems with your product or if your order is late, please let us know right away.
